Departments can apply external user accounts for their departmental guests to access required IT services on campus.

If your guests only need on campus WiFi, you can apply for a CUguest WiFi account instead.

1. Account Application

Service Charge

Each external user account is charged at $30/ day. The service charge can be waived if the guest is

  • A visiting scholar
  • Non-CUHK students under a study programme which provides 17% overhead charges to the University

Application

Complete the online application form at ITSC Computer Account Application and Management System (CAAMS) (via Campus Network / CUHK VPN).  Please log into the system and read the Guidelines and Procedures available at Help (right top corner) of CAAMS.

4. Account Expiration / Renewal

Accounts expire on the date when visiting guests leave the University. Please archive and back up all data files before the account expiry.

To extend the account, the host department may submit the request to ITSC Service Desk  with a scanned copy of the responsible staff’s CU Link.
