部門/項目帳戶

Staff can apply for (1) a sole department account for your department; or (2) project accounts to manage different projects in your department:

If the account is for an external user i.e. non-CUHKers to use, please refer to external user accounts.

1. Account Application, Renewal & Closure

A. Application

Please read the eligibility (via Campus Network or CUHK / SSL VPN) before applying for an account.

B. Renewal

Renewal in every 2 year is required for project accounts.

Procedures:

  1. Expiry reminder will be sent to account coordinator (applicant)  before the expiry date.
  2. Renewal is available 30 days before and after the account expiry date.
  3. For individual account, please submit the account information at ITSC Computer Account Application and Management System (CAAMS) (via Campus Network or CUHK / SSL VPN); OR,
    For multiple accounts i.e. more than 5 accounts managed by the same applicant and endorser, please submit your preference through the online form (via staff login).
  4. If renewal request is not submitted 30 days after the expiry date, ITSC reserves the right to close and delete the unattended account(s).

 

C. Closure

You should update ITSC to close an unused account. Please back up the files related to the account before its closure.

  • For individual account, please submit the account information through the online form (via staff login).
  • For multiple accounts i.e. more than 5 accounts managed by the same applicant and endorser, please submit your preference through the online form (via staff login).

Note: Your password might be expired even if the login page tells “incorrect ID / password”. Please see tab 4 – Regular Password Expiry here for details.

4. Regular Password Expiry

You need to change your OnePass (CWEM) Password at least every 400 days as a security measure (Why?). An email reminder will be sent to you before your account expiry. To change password, you may:

  1. Visit https://cai.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/chgpwd OR
  2. Click “Change Current / Expired Password” on OnePass or CUHK Login Page

When Your OnePass (CWEM) Password Expires

  • You can still change your password
  • You will be prompted with “Incorrect ID / Password” while logging into IT services that do not involve OnePass / CUHK Login page
  • You will be reminded about the password expiry while logging into OnePass / CUHK Login
