Cloud Backup for M365 Mail, OneDrive and SharePoint

In order to provide an extra level of protection of user’s data on Microsoft 365, such as Mailbox, OneDrive and SharePoint data, ITSC has subscribed a cloud service to backup M365 data.  Department/Office can subscribe this service for their staff members.  The default is to keep M365 data for 5 years. 

Scope:
The service provides a cloud-based backup solution for M365 Mail, OneDrive and SharePoint. The backup retention period can be specified from 2 to 7 years. Our default setting would be 5 years. 

• For backing up a M365 email mailbox (*) and OneDrive storage, an individual user subscription is required for each account. 
• For backing up a SharePoint site, subscription for the total number of users of that site is required. 

Remark: 

(*) Due to the changes in Microsoft 365 architecture, the backup of Archive Mailbox is temporarily unavailable.  Backups will resume once the Microsoft 365 architecture is updated.
