Elevate Your Cybersecurity Knowledge with IS Awareness Program

As cybercrime continues to rise, safeguarding our data is more crucial than ever. A data breach could inflict significant damage on the University.

To help staff members protect their data and stay updated on the latest Internet attack trends, ITSC provides a monthly Information Security Awareness Training session from September through December.

Why Should You Attend

Our 30-minute Zoom online sessions go beyond a mere briefing. They provide a thorough understanding of cybersecurity best practices and how to implement them effectively. The sessions cover:

  • University’s IS Policy and Common Threats: Familiarise yourself with our policies and the common threats that endanger our systems.
  • Phishing Awareness: Learn how to recognise and avoid phishing attempts that could cause serious security breaches.
  • DUO 2FA: Discover how to effectively use DUO 2FA.
  • Data Encryption and Secure Sharing: Obtain knowledge on encrypting your data and sharing it securely without losing confidentiality.
  • Incident Reporting: Understand the channels and processes for promptly reporting any information security incidents to mitigate risks.

We also include popular IS topics relevant to the month, ensuring you stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
