(Resumed) Some users’ Outlook mobile contacts are missing from the native contacts app on iOS devices

Microsoft issued an incident report on 18 Mar 2023 (Sat) about issues in Microsoft Teams.

Users who haven’t yet upgraded to Outlook for iOS version 4.2309.2 can do so to restore missing contacts immediately. For those who previously upgraded to version 4.2309.2, impact will persist until Microsoft deploy the new build that includes the fix.

Final status: Microsoft’ve validated that the update contained in the most recent version of the iOS Outlook mobile app successfully mitigated impact. If users are still experiencing impact, please recommend that they update to version 4.2309.3 of the iOS Outlook mobile app to resolve the issue.

Root cause: A recent change, intended to improve the contact sync process between the Outlook mobile client and the native contacts app, contained a code issue which resulted in impact.

Status Microsoft fixed the problem.
