Some users’ email through Outlook on the web fail to send if a contact list is added as a recipient to the email

Microsoft issued an incident report on 24 May 2023 (Wed) about issues in Microsoft Teams.

 More info When affected users select a contact list as the recipient from ‘My Contacts’, the following error message appears after attempting to send the email: ‘This message can’t be sent right now. Please try again later’.


Microsoft system data analysis have focused their investigation to a group of recent service updates and have identified a service change which they believe has introduced the problem. As they work to confirm that they’ve isolated the source for this event, they’re internally testing if reverting the service update successfully remediates the impact.
