Information Technology Services Centre - [Completed] Planned Maintenance Outage for Some IT Services (Saturday, 30 Sep 7pm – Sunday, 1 Oct 1pm)

    ITSC is now performing a maintenance on CUHK Login Service from Saturday, 30 Sep 7pm to Sunday, 1 Oct 1:00pm. During the maintenance window, you can not login some central IT services including email, SharePoint and several application systems. However, emails sent to you during the maintenance will still be able to go into your mailbox and you can read them after the maintenance is complete.

    The following services are inaccessible during the maintenance window.

    1. For Students
      1. Office 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint) and @Link Email Service
      2. Change of OnePass Password and Define of E-mail Alias
      3. Applications
        1. Academic Information Management System (AIMS)
        2. MyCUForm
        3. ITSC Service Desk
      4. Wifi services: (CUHK1x only, other SSIDs are not affected)
      5. PCs in Learning Gardens, Learning Commons, User Areas and Computer Laboratories in College/Postgraduate Student Hostels
      6. Closing of User Area and Suspension of Learning Commons PC services (Saturday, 30 Sep 3pm - Tuesday, 3 Oct 8:45am)
      7. All Library Services that required login (Please refer to Library website for details)
    2. For Staff
      1. Office 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint) and Email Service
      2. Change of Password and Define of E-mail Alias

        1. Central Booking System

    a. Will my email be lost during the maintenance window?

    You will not be able to login to email system during the maintenance window. However, emails sent to you during the maintenance will still be able to go into your mailbox and you can read them after the maintenance is complete. 

    b. I am not able to access a system but I don’t see it listed on the unavailable list. What am I supposed to do?

    The listed unavailable systems are centrally managed by ITSC. Other affected systems managed by your department are not listed here. Please contact your IT staff for details. However, if the system is managed by ITSC, please report it to ITSC Service Desk.
