  • Submit
  • Description:

Several fake (phishing) emails asking you to update your account or Office 365 matters have recently been received by our users. These emails have the appearance of being sent from the University or individual CUHK staff.

These emails ask you to login to a fraudulent webpage, which has the look of a genuine CUHK page. If you log into the page, your login information will be captured by the hacker.

    Your Immediate Action:

If you have received these phishing emails or their variants, you should

    1. NEVER reply to the email or click any hyperlink in the email.
    2. Report to ITSC, so that ITSC can update Phishing Email / Website Alert page for user reference.

However, if you have already given out your login information to these emails or websites, then please do the following:

    1. Change your OnePass (CWEM) password immediately on a virus-free device.
    2. Scan your device with Kaspersky or any anti-virus software, and also make sure devices have system patches updated.
