    With the completion of University Mail System switching from CUHK Webmail to Office 365 Mail in July 2017, this service retired on 3 Jan 2018. Please continue using Office 365 Mail for communication.

    Mailbox Size:
    • 500 MB for staff, department & project accounts 
    • 150 MB for student organization & visiting guest accounts
    Size Restriction on each Message: 20MB, includes the email message itself and all attachments
    Mailbox Validity: depends on staff / department / project / student organization / visiting guest account expiry date
    Anti-spam Gateway: Anti-spam & anti-virus (ASAV) gateway

     

    Define Email Address & Email Drop Box
    Define your email address / email drop box by going to https://cai.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/alias/ or MyCUHK (via campus network / CUHK VPN).

    Your email drop box refers to CUHK Webmail by default. We won’t recommend you to change it. If it is necessary, please put a valid email address as your email drop box to avoid email loss.

    Encryption Method: SSL

    Outgoing Mail
    Connection Method: SMTP
    Server Name: mailserv.cuhk.edu.hk

    1. Retirement of CUHK WebMail (Backup your old mails and contacts)

    Your mail, contacts, forwarding and rules are not automatically moved to Office 365. Among all the available tools, outlook desktop client is the best tool for this transfer. Please follow the steps below if you want to backup these files or move them to O365.
